IMO, this LEGO MOC is the best one I have ever done! I have always loved this ship as seen in “Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back”, when Boba Fett tracks the Millenium Falcon and when Fett leaves Cloud City with Han Solo in carbonite in the cargo hold aboard Slave 1. Slave 1 also appeared in “Attack of the Clones” when Jango Fett (Boba’s father) was battling Obi Wan Kenobi in space and on planet Kamino. The ship was now in Boba’s possession after the death of his father (Jango Fett) on Geonisis. It has an unusual design but is very cool nevertheless. Featuring twin laser cannons, opening cockpit, cargo hold, proton torpedoes, tractor beam, seismic charges, concussion missile launchers, and an ion cannon.
This MOC’s story started (again) with me surfing Amazon for a LEGO Slave 1 ship. Of course all of them were quite expensive, and so I resorted to building my own. This time I asked my mom if she would like to help, she said yes and we made a great team! I would tell her the piece I want and she would dig through my random LEGO pieces box to find it, and I would be the builder. Along the way I encountered many pieces I did not have so that’s where I put my own creative twists to them like my own version of an openable cargo bay where you can fit Solo. I really liked the end result! It looked like a multi-colored Slave 1! Mine was not equipped with all of the weapons the ship actually has but mine has the basic twin blaster cannons, which was shown in the actual LEGO.
